This 50' gondola with fishbelly sides and drop ends is black with white lettering and runs on black Bettendorf trucks. It was built in July 1957 by Eastern Car. AAR Class GB cars are defined as being an open top car, having fixed sides and fixed or drop ends and solid bottom. This drop end gondola has a wooden floor indicated by the circle W symbol on the side. It has a 155000 lbs. capacity and room for a 1746 cu. ft. load. By the early 1960’s the cars in this series had been serviced and their capacity increased to 165000 lbs.
