This blue 40' standard box car with single Superior door and no roofwalk displays the large red and white Pickens Herald, white Pickens lettering, red "the route of National Railroad Utilization" lettering. This car runs on black Bettendorf trucks. The Pickens Railway Company is a privately owned short line railroad operating on two separate short segments in upstate South Carolina. The PICK division, 8.5 miles from Pickens to Easley, is over 100 years old. Currently the Pickens Railway moves approximately 5,000 carloads per year of a variety of commodities including: plastics, fiberglass products, scrap metals, and farm supplies.
