Boston & Maine / Guilford Road Number BM 3278
This 50' rib side box car with sliding doors and no roofwalk is painted white with dark blue ends and aluminum roof. The Guilford 'Big G' logo and the Boston & Maine logos are both dark blue and underlined in red. Lettering is dark blue and the car runs on Barber Roller Bearing trucks. The Boston and Maine Railroad was chartered in New Hampshire on June 27, 1835 and was the dominant railroad of northern New England for a more than a century. In 1983, B&M was purchased by Guilford Transportation Industries and in 2006 changed its name to Pan Am Railways.
