032-00-400 50' standard box car Baltimore & Ohio #478555(N Scale)


This 50' standard box car with plug door is painted C&O blue with an aluminum roof and C&O yellow door and runs on black Barber® roller bearing trucks. B&O 478555 is part of an interrupted number series 478500-478641 & 478650-478699 classed as M-78. Built from Pullman kits by the Maryland Construction Co., Du Bois, PA (a subsidiary of the B&O) in 1963, however, the car is stenciled "NEW 1-64". Both series groups are fitted with six SL-2 partial belts.
