This pale grey 50' standard box car with plug doors has large black 'Jewel' letters, red and brown Jewel logos and runs on black Barber® roller bearing trucks. This car with the Jewel Tea Company paint scheme was built by Pullman-Standard out of Michigan City, Indiana, in August of 1963. Numbered into the TLDX series 33-39, #33 is part of a seven car order from lot 8822. Cars 33 & 34 were painted for the Jewel Tea Company, while 35 thru 39 were painted for Libby's Famous Foods. Some cars remained in their original paint into the 1970's.
