Western Pacific®

This 50' standard box car with plug and sliding doors is painted box car red with large yellow WP logo and yellow lettering. Rebuilt and repainted in May 1965 using the yellow 'Western Way' paint scheme, she runs on black Bettendorf trucks. In the mid 1960s the Western Pacific ordered 200 surplus 40-foot #20821-series PS-1s, built in 1951, stretched to the 50' length. The project turned out three groups of cars, each with a different door configuration. All cars were sold to the Yreka Western in 1977.
