This 40' double-sheathed wood reefer is painted reefer orange with brown roof and ends and hardware. The car bears black-and-white heralds and black lettering. It was built in May 1924 by American Car & Foundry, serviced in April 1939 in Los Angeles, and runs on Bettendorf trucks. These were order by WP and delivered as PFE 52001-52775 wearing PFE paint and WP's Feather River heralds. The cars were reconditioned in April of 1939. By the mid-1950s the cars were ready for rebuilding again.
