This 39' single dome tanker is painted orange with black belly and runs on black Andrews trucks. Augustus Eugene (Gene) Staley was the founder of A. E. Staley Manufacturing Co. of Decatur, Illinois. This company, which processed corn to produce Staley Starch, Staley Syrup, Sta-Puf, Sta-Flo, as well as many industrial products, was a multimillion dollar corporation and was listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
