065 00 600 39' single dome tanker General American Trans. Corp. GATX 8556 (N Scale)

This black 39' single dome tanker is black, stenciled with white "REPUBLIC" on the right side of the car, "CUMBERLAND" on the opposite side, and runs on black Bettendorf trucks. Built by American Car & Foundry Co. at their Milton, PA. Plant, these propane tank cars were owned by the Cumberland Gasoline Corporation and operated by General American Transportation Corporation. By January 1943, these four cars were reassigned to the Cumberland Gasoline Corporation with CGAX reporting marks.
