Canadian National
Road Number CN 11064
This black 40' standard box car with single Youngstown door, tall ladders and no roofwalk is painted UP with CN #17 grey bands and runs on black Bettendorf trucks. One of 50 cars built by Canadian Car & Foundry in June 1939, this car originally had green sides with black roof and ends. Cars operated at the head-end of passenger trains, equipped with steam, air and signal lines. The 1961 CN corporate image, when formally adopted, saw a change in paint schemes for the railroad's locomotive and passenger car fleet. During December 1967, car #11064 was repainted in new passenger paint at Winnipeg's Transcona shops.
