This 40' drop-bottom gondola is painted black with white logo and lettering. It was built in January 1948 by Pressed Steel Car, serviced in January 1964 at the Burnham Shops in Denver, CO, and runs on Roller Bearing trucks. The D&RGW dropbottom gondolas serviced through the 1970s wore the 1939 flying "Rio Grande" paint scheme. Due to their capacity, the 50-ton cars were retired in the mid-1970s.
