This BN green two-bay ACF Center Flow® covered hopper with round hatches has large white 'Burlington Northern' lettering, white BN logo and white lettering, and runs on black Barber® roller bearing trucks. One of 50 two-bay covered hoppers built by ACF in the mid-1970s, this car was originally numbered into the NP series 75000-75099. The 100-car series was later numbered for the Burlington Northern into series 435700-435799. Within this group, some were painted gray with black lettering and some were painted green with white lettering. The hoppers were used for hauling cement through Portland, OR, silica sand out of the Ottawa, IL, area and bentonite clay from Wyoming for use in drilling oil wells.
