This 2 bay ACF Center Flow® covered hopper with round hatches is painted Big Sky Blue, sports a large, modern 'Rocky' logo and runs on black Barber® roller bearing trucks. It was built in January 1967 by American Car & Foundry. It has an inside length of 34'-9" and a height of 15'-1". Three hoppers in this series are known to have received Big Sky Blue paint in August 1968; they are GN173824, 173914, & 173923. The other 2 bay covered hoppers in this series were painted grey with slant serif lettering and a black and red herald.
